Culberson, a lawyer and Confederate soldier in the American Civil War who was also a Democratic U.S. Representative from Texas and Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee Explore the Clark Hotel museum, one of the oldest surviving buildings in Van Horn, or take a quick day trip to historic Fort Leaton or Fort Davis.

The terrain is down and dirty (and even sandy) in Van Horn, in a good way. Adventure down a dirt road to your new getaway. Maintenance is easy with scrub bush, cacti and yucca dotting the property.
