Florida Ground, Bought the Way Regular People Can Buy It
For a lot of folks, owning something in Florida quit being realistic about fifteen years ago. You watch the coast fill in, you price a lot anywhere near the water, and you close the tab. That is the part this one answers, and it is about the only part it answers cheaply.
This is a small, flat piece of ground on a Lecanto street that is already lived in, with porch lights on either side of it and mailboxes at the curb. Owner financing gets you in without a bank, and nobody hands you a build clock or a committee to answer to. What you do with it is a conversation between you and Citrus County, on your schedule rather than anyone else’s.
You are about fifteen minutes from Crystal River and about the same from Homosassa Springs. Crystal River is the only place in the country where it is legal to swim with wild manatees, which is a strange thing to be able to say about a town most people only see through a windshield on the way to Tampa.
Here is what you need to know before you put a stake in the ground. The road along the east edge is platted but not built, though a road is platted along the east side. That is priced in, and it is why this one belongs to somebody patient rather than somebody in a hurry.
Not every piece of Florida is spoken for. This one is still sitting there with nobody’s name on it.
