Level Ground You Can Actually Drive To
Maybe you've been paying rent on a place you'll never own, or scrolling land listings that want a bank's blessing before they'll talk to you. What you've been waiting on is simpler than all that: a flat piece of ground with a road to it and your name on it.
This is 2.5 flat acres of open high desert, with Pinto Road running right to it. Pull the truck in, pace off the house, and pick where the porch faces (east for the coffee, west for the evening show). Bring an RV for the first season, get the solar going, and build the cabin as the budget allows. There's no HOA here to approve your paint color.
Town is Winslow, AZ, under 40 minutes north for groceries and fuel. Head 18 miles west of Winslow and you're standing on the rim of Meteor Crater, a hole nearly three-quarters of a mile across and 560 feet deep, left by a meteorite about 50,000 years ago (the neighborhood has been quiet ever since).
The trade is utilities. There's no power, water, or sewer at the lot, so you bring your own, and with this much sun, solar isn't much of a sacrifice.
A house is just a plan until somebody pours the first footing. This is good, level ground to pour it on.
